Free sites versus paid ones - what do you guys think?

I often wonder about whether it makes sense to actually pay for premium content instead of sticking with the free stuff. Does paying actually get you access to higher-quality videos and a better experience overall, or is it mostly just a waste of money? I mean, there are so many free sites out there that claim to have everything you could ever want, so it's hard to justify shelling out cash for a subscription. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. What are your experiences, people? Is it worth paying?
