A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (Build 704, 2023-08-19) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:

   
• AI Bill of Materials 2D (Annotation): Much better handling of BOM Flags, especially with views/drawings whose scale is not 1:1
• AI MultiRename: Rudimentary handling of multiple groups of shared source objects. Initial version -- feedback welcome! (each unique (shared) group of parts gets a unique identifier before the count suffix is added)
• AI MultiRename: The preview window can now be sorted by column
• AI Intersection: the "Closest Distance" value for non-intersecting directions is now shown in the dialog, making it easier to copy and paste

Bug Fixes:

   
• AI BOM (Anno): Placing flags when the scale was not 1:1 would not always place the flag in the correct location. Fixed.
• AI BOM (Anno) and AI Delete BOM Flags: Selecting a flag for deletion would sometimes delete more than one flag pointing to the specified part. Fixed.

Changed Functionality and other changes:

   
• AI BOM (Anno): Improved handling of box frames for BOM flags
• AI Intersection: Dialog informing user that parallel directions were selected now uses the term "directions" instead of "edges"

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (Build 703, 2022-03-04) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

• AI MAX Export2D: Added option to delete DXF log file
• AI MAX Export2D: Added option to convert all elements to Black & White before exporting (applies to DXF, DWG, and IGES formats)

Bug Fixes:

   
• Attach Drawing to Copy/Variant/Mirror would fail to rename the layout in certain cases. Fixed.

Changed Functionality:

   
• Processing speed for AI Copy WP Geometry is significantly improved, especially when processing a large number of geometry elements
• Improved functionality for capturing customization directories to work better with additional languages

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.3.0696.00, 2021-03-16) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:

   
• Customer-requested Enhancement: New function: AI Copy WP Geometry -- Copy workplane geometry (both construction and real geometry) from one workplane to another. Multiple elements can be selected at once, and a "Copy All" button is provided to easily copy all workplane geometry. The title of this button changes to "Copy Remaining" after any elements have been copied. All copied elements are highlighted to indicate which elements still remain to be copied. A "Back" button allows any elements copied unintentionally to be easily undone.

• AI MAX ViewHQ: Recalling stored drawlists from objects could throw an error in certain situations. Fixed.

Changed Functionality:

   
• AI MAX ViewHQ: Improved user experience when recalling drawlists from objects

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.3.0695.00, 2020-12-23) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:

   
• AI BOM Generator: Customer-requested Enhancement: New option for CSV output "Column per level" -- When this option is ON, the column that normally shows the path (i.e. "Name" of the objects) becomes multiple columns (one for each level). For example, top-level objects are shown in the "Name (1)" column, second-level objects are shown in the "Name (2)" column, and so forth. Great time saver!

Bug Fixes:

   
• AI BOM Generator: In some cases, shared assemblies were not being shown when using the "Short List" option. Fixed.

Changed Functionality:

   
• Miscellaneous performance tweaks and behind-the-scenes improvements

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.2.0681.00, 2020-04-22) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

• AI MAX Share: 2 Points in Direction Method: Added "Use Pos #s" option -- when placing multiple instances, the user may now choose which positions to use (or, as before, may choose which positions to skip).
• AI MAX Share: 2 Points in Direction Method: Both "Use Pos #s" and "Skip Pos #s" now support simple patterns using ".." to indicate "continue this pattern." For example, the pattern "1 4 .." will include the numbers 1, 4, 7, etc up to the maximum count number. A top number for the pattern may also be specified, so numbers in the pattern and below that number will be included. For example, the pattern "1 4 .. 15" will include the numbers 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 (but will not include 15 since it's not in the pattern). Multiple patterns may be used in a specification, such as "1 4 .. 15 18 22 .. 30" which would include the numbers 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 18, 22, 26, 30.
• Improved "Previous Part/Pos" functionality to work even with the the "2 Points in Direction" method

• Partial TrueType font ai-hp-3098-v.ttf now included in installation package. Currently has only alphanumeric characters. This font will be used (if installed) when creating seachable PDFs.

• New Function: AI Attributes Manager: Allows users to see and modify attributes attached to objects
• AI Find and Replace (Annotation): Now handles text items with attached Text References more gracefully, including an option to skip texts with Text References.

Bug Fixes:

   
• AI Find and Replace (Annotation): After all items were replaced, the dialog (while still open) would show that the replaced text still was found on the document even though it had actually been replaced. Fixed.

Changed Functionality:

   
• AI MAX Export2D: table shows more info for existing files.
