A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.2.0680.00, 2020-04-03) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:
  • Partial TrueType font ai-hp-3098-v.ttf now included in installation package. Currently has only alphanumeric characters. This font will be used (if installed) when creating seachable PDFs.
Bug Fixes:

Changed Functionality:
  • AI MAX Export2D: Improved processing of recursive folders in batch mode (i.e. when a drawing is NOT loaded when AI MAX Export2D is started).
  • AI MAX Export2D: Raised option to user level (in the options dialog) to use existing (system) plot transformations rather than customized settings.

New Features/Functions:
  • AI Find and Replace (Annotation): Added "Show All" button to highlight all found matches
Bug Fixes:
  • AI MAX Export2D would crash on some special-case multi-sheet drawings when running under Annotation 20+. Fixed.
Changed Functionality:
  • Modified attribute handling to work more smoothly with some ModelManager installations.

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.2.0672.00, 2019-09-17) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:
  • New Function: AI Attributes Manager: Allows users to see and modify attributes attached to objects
  • AI Find and Replace (Annotation): Now handles text items with attached Text References more gracefully, including an option to skip texts with Text References.
Bug Fixes:
  • AI Find and Replace (Annotation): After all items were replaced, the dialog (while still open) would show that the replaced text still was found on the document even though it had actually been replaced. Fixed.
Changed Functionality:
  • AI MAX Export2D: table shows more info for existing files.
  • Additional behind-the-scenes performance improvements

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.10.0657.00, 2019-03-05) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:
  • New Functionality: AI MAX Share, 2 Points in Direction method: Added option "Total Distance" to allow multiple instances to be shared *between* source and destination points rather than just extending beyond.
  • New Functionality: AI MAX Share, 2 Points in Direction method: Added option "Skip Pos #s" to skip specified position numbers when using the "Count" option (both with and without the new "Total Distance" option). Positions may be separated by spaces or commas, and lists are denoted with a dash i.e. "1-3" or even "4-" (skip positions 4 and higher). Skipped points are shown with a red dot rather than a cyan dot along the vector.
  • AI MAX Export: Modeling would not allow exporting any object in a container to IGES or any of the Parasolid formats. AI MAX Export now works around the PTC limitation. With AI MAX Export, all objects can be exported to these formats, even if they are located in containers.
  • AI BOM Generator: BOM identifier style can now be specified. Options are Line #,  1.1.1 (numbered at each level), A.1.1 (similar to 1.1.1, but with the top level using A, B, C), and A.a.a (each level uses alpha, with the top level using capital letters). These identifiers are also used in the BOM Flags on Annotation drawings.
  • New Function: AI Delete BOM Flags User can select leader, frame, or flag ID, and all portions of that flag will be deleted.
  • New Functionality: AI BOM Generator Added ability to Skip or NoExpand objects.  "NoExpand" prevents an assembly from being expanded. NOTE: When an object is set to skip or not expand, a Status column will be shown in the second position in the on-screen table ("Show BOM"), but the Status column will NOT be sent to Annotation or to the exported file. If the skip/NoExpand status is cleared for all objects, the column will disappear.
Bug Fixes:
  • AI BOM Flags: When using Box-style frames, lines were not always coming off the sides are the correct angle. Fixed.
Changed Functionality:
  • AI BOM Generator: in 3D mode, when highlighting an item to show the view direction, if the "AI View" viewport direction has been changed, selecting a new item will not reset the view direction.
  • AI BOM Generator: on-screen table is now larger -- 80% of the screen width and 50% of the screen height.
  • AI BOM Generator: now only a single assembly can be selected as the top-level object.
  • AI BOM Generator and AI BOM Flags: many internal changes and improvements, especially related to parts in shared assemblies.
  • AI BOM Flags: now automatically updates all BOM flags when it start

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.10.0642.00, 2019-01-21) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:
  • New Functionality: AI BOM for Annotation! Allows pushing the AI BOM table over to Annotation with immediate updates when the BOM parameters are changed. BOM parameters are stored with the drawing BOM, so when a drawing with an AI BOM table is loaded, AI BOM knows which parameters were used to generate the table.
  • New Functionality: AI BOM Flags for Annotation! When flags are assigned to objects and the BOM parameters are updated, the flag numbers are also updated -- no need to re-generate the BOM!
  • AI BOM for Annotation provides for auto-wrapping of text when a parameter is too wide for its assigned width. When the BOM is scaled or the text size is changed, the BOM will automatically re-wrap the text.
  • AI BOM Generator now has option to change the separator when writing a CSV file. Options are comma, semicolon, and tab.
  • New Functionality: AI Text Functions for Annotation! Available functions include AI New Text, AI Edit Text, and AI Align Text. AI New Text is very similar to the regular New Text function, but adds the ability to set text alignment to left, center, or right (Only applies to multi-line texts -- single line texts always have left alignment). AI Edit Text is similar to a combination of the regular Edit Text and Text Properties functions, but also adds the alignment functionality. The alignment functions are used to simply set the alignment of existing texts.
Bug Fixes:
  • AI MAX ViewHQ browser scale wasn't being remembered between sessions. Fixed.
  • AI MAX Export: Visibility for options related to inseparable objects was not always updating correctly. Fixed.
Changed Functionality:
  • AI BOM Generator now automatically scans both standard Model Manager attributes for a Description (when the Description column is selected).

A new version of the AI MAXTools suite is available! The latest build (20.10.0628.00, 2018-10-10) has the following improvements/fixes/changes (see below for download link):

New Features/Functions:
  • New Function: AI Modify Owner: Improves on the default Modify Owner commands: 1) Can move parts, assemblies and workplanes all in the same operation, 2) Select objects first, then the owner (more natural flow), 3) integrated with right-click structure browser "AI MAXTools" menu. Simple, but much more natural than the default command.
  • AI Bill of Materials Generator now includes a default Model Manager Description attribute for the BOM columns (wasn't always showing up on some systems)
Bug Fixes:
  • N/A
Changed Functionality:
  • Misc functions to highlight objects in the structure browser (such as AI Info) now scroll at least one of the selected items into view
  • AI MAX Export: UI item changed from "Top Assy(s)" to "Selected Objects" (functionality unchanged)

  • AI Duplicate Assembly: New name specified on auto-unshared assemblies would not always be applied correctly. Fixed.
  • AI Duplicate Assembly: Highlighting of auto-unshared assemblies was showing green even if the names were the same (should be yellow). Fixed.
  • AI MAX Share: In some cases, part transparency wasn't getting reset correctly after duplicating a feature. Fixed.
  • AI MAX Share: When using using the Circular Elements method, the axis direction was flipped 180 degrees in some unusual cases. Fixed.
  • AI Bill of Materials Generator: When showing the BOM table, selecting a row would throw an error rather than showing the view angle to display for the selected object. Fixed.
